Investment Week trailblazes B2B wearable tech

Investment Week has broken new ground in the B2B sector with the launch of an Apple Watch product. Wearables are widely used by the brand’s asset-management audience, and this app allows users to keep up with the latest news while they are on the move.

Investment Week is the number one information resource for the UK’s retail asset management sector. The brand has made significant digital product investment in recent months, and the new Apple Watch app complements its existing mobile product suite: a continuously published app and redesigned responsive website.

The Apple Watch app is a slimmed-down version of the brand’s regular iPhone app, with synopses of the latest news stories, and is designed to be used alongside an iPhone should users wish to read a full story. The brand has experienced rapid uptake of its mobile products, and demand for the new product has been strong.

“This is an exciting launch for Investment Week and demonstrates our commitment to exploring new ways of communicating with our audience,” says Kevin Sinclair, group publishing director of the finance portfolio at Incisive Media.

“With wearable technology becoming more embedded into everyday life, creating an Investment Week app for the Apple Watch makes perfect sense. Our audience are consuming content across a wide range of platforms and it’s great to be able to offer them another channel to do this.”

Incisive Media has developed the app in concert with its app partner Kaldor. The build was led internally by Incisive’s product management team.

For more information and to download the app, search for ‘Investment Week’ on the App Store. Download the Investment Week app to your iPhone and you’ll get the Apple Watch app as well. If you have already downloaded the Investment Week app onto your iPhone, just update the app and you will have access to the Apple Watch app as well.
